Absorption : Pentoxifylline is almost completely absorbed after oral administration
Metabolism : extensively metabolized, mainly in the liver
Plasma protein binding: 70%
Half life : 4-6 hours
Elimination : almost exclusively eliminated by the kidneys

PHARMACODYNAMIC
Pentoxifylline is hemorheological agent that increases flexibility of RBC and reduces blood viscosity. Hence It increases microcirculatory flow & tissue perfusion with improved supply of oxygen to ischemic muscles of the limbs.
